Rocky Mountain State Games track and field coming July 27

If you still have some competitive track and field energy to work out, the Rocky Mountain State Games may be just what you need.

The Rocky Mountain State Games is a festival of sport--many different varieties of sport. One of those varieties, of course, is track and field.

The track and field portion of the Rocky Mountain State Games is set to take place at Don Breese Stadium on the grounds of Lewis-Palmer High School on Sunday, July 27. The registration deadline for the event is July 23, and your basic $35 registration fee covers participation in up to three events. Events contested include the full range of track and field events, not including the javelin, and distance events go 1500, 3000 meters.(ages 11-14), and 5000 meters (ages 15 and up).

Every age group imaginable has a place in this meet.

Although USATF rules govern the competition, a USATF membership is not required for participation.
