Requesting Online Registration for Your Meet

Each Colorado rankings meet in the state is required to have online registration set up through Colorado Track XC. Here is how you do that for your meet...

Requesting online registration is simple. There is a link for online registration at the bottom of every page on Colorado Track XC, or you can simply use the link here:

There is some general information on the first page, but the actual form to fill out is found by clicking on the Track Meet Registration Request Form link at the top of this page.

At the Track Meet Registration Request Form, you will fill out the information about your meet. Alternately, if your meet information is mostly or entirely the same as last year, you can reference the six-digit number in the url of last year's meet and ask our national office to clone last year's meet. In this case, the only parts of the form you need to fill out are any places where the meet information differs from last year.

If your meet for this year is already on the calendar and has a meet page of its own, you can simply make a note the this year's meet has already been cloned as ______ (give the six-digit number from the url of the meet page). Then simply fill in any boxes for information about your meet that may have changed since last year and leave other boxes empty.

In all cases, you will need to fill out the billing information for this year's meet. We do not rely on billing information to be the same from year to year.

Once your online registration request form has been submitted, it goes into our queue. As we are in the middle of indoor season for the eastern states right now, indoor meets with online registration requests take priority, but you can figure your meet will be set up for online registration within about five to ten business days.

If, however, there is an outstanding bill from an earlier meet for which your school had online registration (this happens, and often because schools shut down for the summer at right about the time billing for the spring season typically goes out), you will get a new copy of the invoice for last year's meet to be taken care of before this year's online registration will be set up.

Online registration is billed at a rate of $.14 per athlete (for track and field, cross country--which is simpler to set up--is billed at a rate of $.10 per athlete), with a minimum billing of $30 per meet. Billing is typically sent out at the end of the CHSAA-sanctioned season, but you can request an earlier billing if that makes things easier on your end.

There are several good reasons to take care of online registration for your meet now rather than waiting until sometime in the spring to do that:

  1. It means it won't get forgotten until the last minute and have to be done in a panic a few days before the meet. Taking care of it now means one less thing to think about later.
  2. No billing for online registration happens until after the meet, anyway, so you are not committing to an earlier payment date by setting up your online registration early.
  3. If there are any questions about your online registration request, they can be addressed before anyone is on a tight time schedule.
  4. When we at MileSplit have things like online registration taken care of in advance, we have more time to do the sort of thing we do best--and that would be track and field coverage. What's easier for us is ultimately better for you.
