High school indoor action comes to the Western Slope on Saturday, but you have to be registered by Wednesday.
The inaugural Western State High School Indoor Open arrives this weekend. The Western Slope athletes who have trekked over the Continental Divide to come to indoor meets in the past can now enjoy--at least for most of them--a shorter trip to the meet and back home.
It's also a great opportunity to see, first-hand, the new Mountain Field House at Western State Colorado University.
Registration for this meet closes on Wednesday (the Direct Athletics site for this meet does not give a closing time). The meet does not require USATF membership in order to participate.
Colorado Track XC will be on hand with photographic and video coverage of the meet. I will definitely try to acquire start lists for the meet to post when they become available.
