For 2015, Colorado will have to be content with being there. No Colorado entry advanced from this week's World Youth Trials in Illinois to be World Youth Games two weeks from now in Colombia.

Lutheran's Adam Dawson was the lone remaining Colorado entry coming into today's action. Dawson heaved the discus 152-6 for 10th place.

Remaining competition opportunities for Colorado high school athletes are rapidly growing fewer. The Region X Junior Olympic Championships take place in El Paso, Texas, on July 9 - 12, but only for those who qualified. From that group, another smaller group will qualify for USATF Junior Olympics in Jacksonville, on July 27 - August 2.

For those preferring an alternate route, the Regional AAU Championships take place Saturday, July 4, at Brighton High School. That meet is a qualifier for the national AAU Junior Olympics in Norfolk, Virginia, on August 1 - 8.

If all that involves too much trouble, or too much qualifying, your last remaining open meet opportunities are the Boulder Road Runners meets in Boulder on alternating (more or less) Thursday evenings and the Rocky Mountain State Games at the St. Mary's High School track in Colorado Springs on July 25.
