Colorado 4A Classification Records

Valarie Allman's stay on the record board seems destined to be a lengthy one. Photo by Alan Versaw.

There's been some heavy-duty rewriting of the 4A records over the last three years, but still some older records linger on. The classification's oldest record belongs to Ron Wach of Estes Park with a discus throw at 183-11. I would imagine Estes Park was only ever barely a 4A school, and not for long at that.

The oldest girls state meet record dates back to a 5-8.25 high jump by Skyline's Jill Fadenrecht in 1998. That record was eclipsed as a 4A record in 2003, but remains the 4A state meet record.
