Numerous meets have been added to the fall cross country schedule in the last week. If you're still looking for a meet to fill a date, this is a good time to check and see what's available.
In addition to sending information about invitationals, please send information about regional meets as that becomes available as well. To prime the pump, 2A Regions 2 and 3, plus 3A Region 2 will be contesting their regional championships at Fountain Creek Regional Park on Thursday, October 20.
The Classical Academy will be hosting that gathering of regional meets. There is still limited space available in the TCA Titan Thunder on October 7 for teams wishing to preview the course.
Recall that the committee report approved by the CHSAA Legislative Council has each of five 5A, 4A, and 3A regions advancing four teams to state this fall for state fields of 20 in each classification. 2A has four regions only and will advance four teams from each region to state for fields of 16 teams.
There figures to be a chain of coaching moves and replacements in the ranks of cross country programs around the state. I'll report on those as word comes my way.
