A Whole New Set of Country Coaches in Loveland

It's a whole new race this fall for cross country in the fair city of Loveland. Each of Loveland's three public high schools has a new cross country coach this fall.

At Thompson Valley, Matt Norton has chosen to focus his coaching energy on track and field, leaving that position open. Stepping in that void is Mike Callor, who held head coach duties at Dakota Ridge and Fort Collins prior to taking the Thompson Valley position.

At Mountain View, Kevin Clark's position came open when Clark took on the athletic director role at Loveland High School. Hired to fill Clark's very large shoes was Aaron Berthold. Berthold has been coaching distance runners most recently at Poudre High School in Fort Collins.

At Loveland High School, Jeff Marcus was hired to fill the shoes of Tim Jones. Marcus coached for several years at Brush High School before moving to Loveland. Marcus was an assistant on Kevin Clark's staff at Mountain View for the last two years.

Many of you know that Marcus's son, AJ (Adam), has one more year of high school remaining. Coach Marcus indicates that AJ will remain with his teammates at Mountain View for his final year of high school.
