What Did It Take To Advance To State Last Year? 2A

Jacob Yates is out in front of the 2A fields in both the 110 and 300 meter hurdles, and both with times that would have easily qualified for State last year.

Yesterday, we looked at what it took to advance to State last year in 3A. Now, we turn the spotlight on 2A.

2A's standards this year will probably end up closer to 2A's standards last year than will be the case for 3A this year. 2A did inherit a couple new programs down from last year's 3A ranks, but the 2A inheritance is quite a bit less this year than 3A's. That suggests, but does not ensure, greater stability in 2A state-qualifying marks this spring.

The idea here is simple. You want to know what it will take to qualify for State in 2A this spring. One very good way of starting to dial that in is to look at what it took last year.
