On a weekend that always sees a lot of 4x800 shuffling, Rampart ran themselves into the final 5A Girls qualifying position for State.
I've kind of always wanted to do this article. This year, I actually put myself into a position to do it. So, here you have it.
As a caution, be careful about extrapolating this data into next year when the final week of qualifying rolls around. It may or may not be like this next year. Honestly, this year was not the greatest year of final week qualifying due, at least in part, to issues of heat and wind.
Even so, this article will help us begin to get a metric on how much to expect that #18 position to move in future years in the final week of qualifying.
