4A was the domain of Battle Mountain (girls) and Palmer Ridge (boys) last fall. Only it didn't start out that way. Air Academy jumped to favorite status early and stayed that way very close to the state meet until it became apparent that Battle Mountain was rising fast. Palmer Ridge and Silver Creek battled for the top spot in the boys rankings right up until the state meet, but Palmer Ridge went home with the hardware.

So far as I know now, the 4A season figures to be fairly straight forward in terms of transfers. 4A news of note includes Cole Sprout transferring to Valor Christian and Lilli Hamilton transferring to Palmer Ridge. I do not have official word yet on how the transfer rule will impact either transfer, but I have heard that Sprout will have a half-season only of varsity eligibility.
Niwot picked up a transfer out of California in Ares Reading who could possibly jump into a scoring role for the Cougar boys.
