Air Force Holiday Open Highlights

The Air Force Holiday Open is not a high school meet. But, high schoolers have been coming to this meet for years to get some early indoor season work in.

And, despite the meet options at Colorado School of Mines the last two weeks, high school participation at the Air Force Holiday Open held steady this year. A nice group of athletes from up and down the Front Range converged on the Cadet Field House for some early meet action.

Several of these marks rank as at or near national leading indoor marks. To be seeing these kind of marks in early December is astounding. For now, the indoor season comes to a halt until January 7. Figure it picks up with a vengeance then, however, and watch as Colorado produces several more nationally noteworthy marks.
