There are two huge meets (within driving distance) on tap this weekend. Colorado's best will likely split between three meets, however - two of which we'll have coverage for. The Great Southwest Classic Indoor Invitational and the Western State High School Open will host a high number of Colorado athletes, while a handful of FK Elite will head down to Georgia, where the outdoor season has already started, for the Dunamis Super Meet. The meet is run on "America's Fastest Surface" - and is a state-of-the-art, banked indoor track. There should be some fast times coming out of this meet.
Word on the track is that there's a fairly strong contingency of athletes soaking up their final strides on the boards this weekend, as it should be yet another weekend with stellar performances.
While Colorado's best will scatter from the front range - fear not, Alan Versaw will be on site providing coverage at the Southwest Classic, and I'll be in Gunnison for the Western State High School Open.
