Fankhouser and Gregg going 1-2 made it nearly impossible for anyone to challenge a stellar Lyons squad. Sealing the victory for the girls in blue was Hannah Thomas, who finished 12th in 21:20. The finish gave Lyons a decisive, and very dominating victory. The Lions tallied just 15 points, which was two points better than their victory at regionals.
Behind the roar of the Lions was a fierce battle for second.
Four points separated Platte Canyon and Soroco (also known as South Routt). Platte Canyon saved their best running for the final weeks of the season, as they nabbed the runner-up spot with 43 points, just ahead of Soroco's 47.
