2A Boys: Gold For Bruxvoort And Heritage Christian

Levi Kilian's fourth place finish helped elevated Heritage Christian to a dominating team title.

Heritage Christian toed the starting line at the State meet donning bright gold singlets, and that's exactly what they left with.

Well, a little more than just the singlets.

The heavily favored squad duplicated Bruxvoort's dominance and tallied an eye-opening 12 points to take home gold. Kilian and Keaton Case capped Heritage Christian's scoring by finishing fourth, and 13th overall, putting all three scoring runners in front of their nearest competitor's No. 2 runner, which was Lyons.

Led by Roberts, Colton Jonjak-Plahn and Simon Stone finished 14th, and 33rd overall to give the boys in blue an edge over Peyton. Lyons tallied 38 points to Peyton's 48. The difference between these two squads came with the Lyons 1-2 punch of Roberts and Jonjak-Plahn, who finished ahead of Peyton's No.1.
