Adams, Tremblay Tabbed Big 12 Runners of the Week

David Adams (Nebraska) and Laura Tremblay (Colorado) have earned Big 12 Cross Country Runner of the Week honors. Adams becomes the first Husker to win the award since Marcus Witter in 2000. Tremblay earns her first individual honor and the first weekly award for the Colorado women this season.

David Adams, Nebraska, Jr., York, Neb.
Adams was the only Big 12 runner to crack the top 10 finishers at the Wisconsin adidas Invitational. He ran the 8K in a time of 23:51.0 for a ninth-place finish. Adams led his team to place 15th against seven nationally-ranked teams. NU was able to take down a ranked foe as it placed ahead of No. 20 Auburn by 10 points, 256-266.

Laura Tremblay, Colorado, So., Loveland, Colo.
Tremblay out-sprinted teammate Emma Coburn to win the women's 5.8K individual title at the 25th Rocky Mountain Shootout. Tremblay, who helped her team to a first-place finish, ran a time of 20:29, which ties for 10th fastest in course history. It is also the second fastest ever on the course by a sophomore. The last sophomore to win the race was former CU runner and Olympian Jenny Barringer in 2006, who finished the race with a time of 20:51.
