Obviously, Ft. Collins is building their aerobic base with speed work still to come... Looks like they have some freshman talent too, or are those just middle schoolers (11-14 range makes it hard to tell).

Just so that you know, Lauren Gregory (who shows in the Rat Race results) was at Windsor Middle School last year. I do not believe she is a Fort Collins freshman, but if I'm wrong about that, we'll all know fairly soon. I don't think I am wrong about that, though, as I have it in my mind that she is 12 years old from other race results I've seen. Other than Claire Hooker (whom I take to be Erin's younger sister), I don't have any hunches about the 11-14 year olds showing in the results, but Fort Collins does use this race as an end-of-summer proving ground.

Lauren is a 7th grader and transfered to a middle school in Fort Collins. I'm sure that she will be in the Lambkin Purple and Gold in two years. She runs for the Fort Collins Track Club and was an age group national champion in Wichita in the 3000m or 1500m (I forget which). She is one to watch in the future.
