Time to Start Building the Track & Field Schedule

It won't be long before the fast-twitch guys will be barreling down the straightaway again. Colorado Track XC file photo.
The first meets of the season are still a little over three months away, but it's time to build the Colorado Track XC Track and Field calendar for Spring, 2012.
Please send information about meets to be added to the calendar to me at the e-mail address shown in the lower left corner of this page. Information that I will include in your meet listing includes the following (* - required information):
Meet Name*
Meet Location (Facility)*
Meet Date*
Host Team*
Meet Entry Fee
Meet Time Schedule
Price of Admission
Timing Company (actually pretty important information as it gives your meet timer direct access to online entry files)
Directions to Facility
Rankings Meet (Yes/No)
Meet Already Closed (Yes/No)
Roster of Teams
Special Events (Invitational 1600, Coaches SMR, etc.)
Number of Entries per Team per Event (2/3/Other)
As many of you have already heard, all rankings meets in Colorado will be using the MileSplit online registration system this spring. More information will follow on that in the next few days, but the sooner I have your meet on the calendar, the easier it will be for all to use the system.
Another benefit of getting your meet date posted early is concerns positioning. With numerous meets moving from their traditional weekends to new weekends this spring, those meets posting to the calendar at later dates will be at something of a disadvantage for getting their desired allotment of participating teams.
