Online registration for all rankings meets in Colorado this spring will be through Colorado Track XC.

Due to the need for a rankings database free of athlete duplications, CHSAA has directed that all athlete registration for rankings meets be done through a single portal. This spring, that portal will be Colorado Track XC.

The requirements of the CHSAA online registration package have necessitated a small increase in the per-athlete charge for online registration to $.14. The minimum charge, however, for the smallest meets will remain at $30. Schools will be billed for online registration following the completion of their meets. There is no charge for resetting the online registration closing date and time for postponed meets. Canceled meets will incur the minimum $30 charge, but will not be charged on a per-athlete basis.

For those who have not previously used online registration to load meet entries into the Hy-Tek Meet Manager, this system greatly reduces the time and effort required to get all athletes entered into the meet. The entire entry file for a meet downloads to your computer in a couple of seconds. Hy-Tek will then upload those entries into the meet database through an easy set of steps.

All meet directors will need to visit the MileSplit online registration page to sign up for online registration for each meet to be hosted. The process is simple and straight-forward, but please read and follow instructions. I am available to help answer any questions that may arise.

Colorado Track XC supports timing companies. If you have a timing company scoring your meet, please notify me of that. Once I am notified of the timing company in charge of scoring the meet, I can provide them access to the meet entries without them needing to go through the host school to procure the online entry file. Most Colorado timing companies already exist in the MileSplit database, but we are happy to add any that do not. Each timing company has a page on the Colorado Track XC site that they are welcome to embellish for branding purposes. Timing companies are indicated on the meet results page with a link to their own web sites, if available.

Meet directors may sign up for online registration now and beat the rush, or may sign up for online registration for their meets at any time up to two weeks out from the meet date. No billing is issued until the meet has completed.

Please allow at least 2 - 3 days for online registration to be set up for your meet. You have control over the opening and closing dates of online registration, the number of entries allowed per event, and a few other factors in the online registration process. You can also use the MileSplit system to send out mass e-mails to all coaches who have entered athletes in your meet. Chances are, you'll find that little utility handy more than once during the course of the season.

When you download entries, you can download either the complete rosters for each team or only those athletes actually entered in the meet. The choice you make there will likely depend on whether or not you will be allowing scratch/add at your meet.

Athletes seed marks will be entered according to their lifetime best wind legal performance (as recorded in the MileSplit performance database) in each event unless you specify that you want marks used only from the current season. Coaches will have the opportunity to manually enter seed marks for individual athletes unless you specify request that only marks existing in the database be used. As you know, Colorado Track XC maintains a comprehensive database of marks for each athlete in the state.
