A local running club makes affording college a little easier for female runners living or attending high school in Arvada.

Arvada Running Club Offers $1,300 Scholarship

The Arvada Running Club is offering a $1,300 college track or cross-country scholarship to a graduating female high school student for use in the 2012-13 school year. A second scholarship may also be awarded based upon the club's fundraising efforts. Eligible students must live in Arvada and/or attend an Arvada-area high school, have a grade point average of at least 3.0, and plan to participate in a formal track or cross-country program during their freshman year at a four-year accredited college. Applications are available on Arvada high school Naviance websites.
