Connor Weaver and Andrew Walton beat Alexander Barton, Dominic Compoz, and Zachary Alhamra in every race except state this year. If you're going to go off of state only then you can't include Tucker Hamilton.

If you look at Tucker Hamilton's year there are a lot of firsts there. That would include a first in the regional meet that included both of the above. I guess that's why Hamilton got elevated over his state race and the others didn't.

Please know your facts... the 'Compare To' tool on each runners page is very useful

Don't get me wrong. Tucker Hamilton is a phenomenal runner. So is everyone on the list. I would just like a better understanding of how the 2nd team is chosen? I agree with racedog, Hamilton had a lot of first place finishes while the MV runners did not. But they did beat Hamilton at State. So the first team and second team should be the top 15 runners at State, and the other races prior to State shouldn't matter. Because if they did matter you could still make a case that Andrew Walton, Caleb Ingram, Kyle Lund, and Paul Miller could all be deserving of spots on the 2nd team even though they didn't run as well at State. It's really not an issue though, all runners on the list are deserving.
