Cole Sprout appears to be the
current favorite to take down the 37 year old record in 4A. He's just a few weeks
removed from his 9:01 3,200 Colorado record, and he's run the third-fastest 1,600 in
Colorado this year at 4:12.75.
Adding to Sprout's odds are
the fact that he hasn't lost in Colorado this year, so he enters the state meet
as the favorite to win the 4A state title.
