Dear Coach/Athletic Director:

We are excited that you have decided to attend the 2016 edition of the Tiger Invitational. This event will be held at Lincoln Parks Stocker Stadium in Grand Junction, Colorado on May 12th and 13th. What follows is critical information that you need in order to have a successful event.

We are excited that this meet will be one of the last before the State Track Meet! We would like this to become a big meet that is known statewide as having a very high level of competition. Thanks for your consideration in joining us for this meet!

This will be a pre-qualification meet. PLEASE be sure to use your state-assigned school name and abbreviation (as found in your CHSAA Bulletin), identify your athletes year-in-school (use 9, 10, 11, or 12), and make sure your athletes names stay consistent for every meet when you enter data onto the Colorado Milesplit website. Errors made in the entering of this data will prevent your results from being accepted by the Max Preps system.

Should the electronic timing device fail, there will not be a re-run. We will then use hand held times for that heat/event. This is not likely to occur.

MEET RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. All entries must be entered on Colorado Track XC (entry information below) by 5pm the day prior to the meet. ABSOLUTELY no entries will be taken after that time. If you are have questions or problems with entries please e-mail Matt Hurni (stockerstadiumtrack@gmail.com).

See attached instructions for completing the entry process.

Event seeding will take place Wednesday evening and the flight sheets will be emailed to you.

2. The entry fee is $300 per school, or $20 per athlete. Mail your entry fees to the school the week of April 27th or earlier. Also please indicate the name of the meet on the check. Both of these make my life much easier and I really appreciate it! -Sean

3. As part of your entry requirements, you will need to provide one worker to help run the meet. Workers assignments will be posted at the coaches meeting.

4. Each school will be allowed (3) entries per event and one relay team.
Schools will be allowed to enter up to 2 additional entries for individual events for a charge of $20 per athlete. Only the top 3 finishers from each school will be scored.

Long and Triple jumpers will also be flighted with 3 preliminary jumps with the top 9 jumpers advancing to the final round, receiving 3 more jumps. There will be minimum distances to earn a measure. If an athlete has not thrown or jumped the minimum distance, their last attempt may be measured.

All field events will be three throws and jumps with top 9 going to finals. High Jump will be run as a 5 alive format. There will be NO adds or changes at the events, only scratches. Courtesy marks will not be required, but may be given at the discretion of the event judge.
Suggested minimum marks are as follows, but may be adjusted by the event judge, and head field judge should weather and level of competition dictate.
