Coach
Crist has a distinguished coaching career that has spanned 47 years of which 45
of those years has been dedicated to the students of the Poudre School
District. Wes has coached several sports including track and Field, football,
softball, girls' basketball and boys' basketball. Coach Crist is recognized as
an outstanding teacher in the classroom as well. He was bestowed the Excellence
in Teaching award in 1979 and continues to be an outstanding role model and mentor
for students lucky enough to be influenced by his tutelage.
Due to
his tremendous impact throughout our district, countless contributions and
unrivaled dedication to the Fort Collins athletic community, from this day
forward the middle school district track championships will be titled the WES
CRIST DISTRICT TRACK CHAMPIONSHIPS. The Poudre School District and the entire
Northern Colorado region thanks you Coach Crist for your many years of
excellent coaching and remarkable leadership.
