San Juan Basin Track Meet May 8, 2018

General Information:

Coaches Meeting = 11:30 PM

Entry Fee = No Entry fee

Scoring=Individual ( 10-8-6-4-2-1) Relay(10-8-6-4-2)

Team ( 6th&7th team plus 8th grade team scores)

Concession Stand = Yes

Participants = Maximum of 4 events per athlete.( entered on Milesplit)

Participants Entered = 3 athletes per field event for each gender and grade level. NOTE: after 3 athletes have signed others are exhibition. Make sure you tell athletes what events you want them to participate in.

Equipment = Starting Blocks will be provided.

Field Events = Athletes must check-in to their field event first then go to the running event. They will be given 5 minutes after the running event to return and begin again or will be scratched.

High Jump = One pit will be set up on the East end of the track.

= Beginning height: 6th,7th girls=366th, 7th boys=3108th girls=388th boys=4

Heats & Lanes = Fastest athletes in the last heat. .

Jewelry = Please refer to the NFHS rule on use of jewelry.

They must have a school uniform to compete.

Camps = No camps on the infield please. Keep the infield clear for a warm-up area.

Coaches = It is your responsibility to inform and help your athletes

arrive at their events on time.

Clean Up = Please check your area for trash before you allow your

athletes to leave the meet. Trash bags will be provided.

Awards = Top 6 in each event. Please dont leave until you have your awards.

Order for each event: 6th/7th girls, 6th/7th boys, 8th girls, 8th boys

Note: The Co-ed relay does not count against each athletes event total.

NOTE: Athletes will be asked to line up Slowest to Fastest. The last heat will be the fast heat.

Coaches please help out with this process so we can have our fastest athletes in the last heat.

110 M. Low Hurdles = 5 hurdles on a meter distance, 1,3,5,7,9

100-Meter Dash

1600 M. Run = Waterfall start, break when you have a stride

800 M. Sprint Medley = 100s, 200 lanes all the way, 400 cut when clear

Exchange 1&2 yellow to yellow, 3rd blue to blue

400 M. Dash = Lanes all the way

800 M. Relay = Lanes all the way

Exchange 1&2 red to red, 3rd yellow to yellow

200 M. Dash = Lanes all the way

800 M. Run = Super waterfall start, break at the green line

400 M. Relay = Lanes all the way, Yellow to yellow exchange zone

4X400 M. relay = 1st runner lanes all the way second runner can cut

400 M. COED Relay = 2 girls & 2 Boys from 6th ,7th and 8th grades.
