If you thought the track season had slowed down by now, you're only partly right. It wasn't a weekend of 20 invitationals strewn all across the state, but there were at least four meets this weekend that were hosting Colorado athletes. That's a lot of track and field for early June. Better still, it was a lot of quality track and field.

For those who didn't care to make the six-to-eight hour drive to to Albuquerque--or the even longer trip to Kansas City or Portland--this was the meet of choice this weekend. And, it turned up some nice performances. Among the best were Marlee Brown winning the 15-16 100 hurdles in 15.78 (-4.0, definitely enough wind to mess with your stride a little), Nina Thomas at 37-4.5 to win the 15-16 shot put, Trevor Cook taking the 15-16 100 (11.32) and 200 (22.84), both with negat...
