New Balance Nationals Outdoor

New Balance Nationals Outdoor came to a close today with a handful more events of Colorado interest.

Dior Hall finished second in the 100 hurdles at 13.66 (-1.4, note that this was actually a later result from Saturday, not a Sunday result).

Claire Green also took a second, running 2:12.07 and winning her heat, but ultimately finishing second to Lauren Jackson of Georgia, who won the second of three heats.

And, finally, Bailey Roth was back on the track running 4:12.17 to finish 7th in the boys mile championship race.

Zoom Track Classic

While NBNO was definitely the big meet on the national scene, the Colorado scene had some nice performances as well at the Zoom Track Classic at Sports Authority Stadium in Parker.

Girls highlights included winning 400s of 55.35 from Damajahnee Birch and 55.09 from Payton Miller, a 36-2.25 (+0.0) triple jump from Maya Ries, a 23.78 (-0.8) 200 from Ana Holland, and winning marks of 37-5.75 (+1.3) in the triple and 5-3 in the high for Chloe Rogers.

Highlights from the boys side of the meet included an 11.24 (-1.2) and 22.80 (-1.1) sweep of the 15/16 short sprints for Trevor Cook, a 6-8.25 high jump for Trevor Rex, a 1:58.75 more or less solo effort for Austin Gunnarson in the 800, a nice 55.02 for Lorne Jenkins in the 400 hurdles, and sweeps of the horizontal jumps and throws by Cameron Gill and Jackson Spalding, respectively (not that anyone who is remotely familiar with the event specialities of these two would get that confused).
