It's a college and open meet. The high school indoor season is--more or less--over. But none of that stopped a few high schoolers from showing up and posting a few nice performances.

Things got underway on Friday evening with the weight throw. As she has done every meet this season, Mariah Walker set a new PR in the weight throw. This time, Walker got the ball out to 47-5. And she is clearly a better thrower than she was started her competitive weight throw journey on January 11.

Walker was the sum total of the high school show on Friday night, but the high schoolers came out in force on Saturday.

Alexis Groce took her 60 meter PR down to 7.64 on the Mondo of Steinhauer. Sister Alexandria just missed a PR at 7.72. For the record, they finished 1-3 in the 60 meters.

In the men's pole vault, Pierceson Brown and Nolan Ellis tied for second at 14-3.75. Christina Stathakis and Kimberly Peterson went 2-3 in the women's pole vault, both going beyond 11 feet. Stathakis's 11-7.75 stands as the best in-state girls mark of the season in the pole vault and stirs the 5A pot a little for this coming spring.

David Messerli moved to #7 on the 2014 Colorado indoor mile list with his 4:41.37.

Walker came back in the shot put on Saturday and earned a second, but no PR, at 45-10.
