Former UK Star Allison Morgan Named Midway College XC Head Coach

 

(Midway, Ky.) – Midway Eagles Athletics has selected Allison Morgan to be the Eagles' Cross Country Coach for the 2014-2015 season.
 
"Allison is an accomplished runner who has competed at the most elite levels of her sport. I'm confident that her experience and passion for running will inspire our student athletes and make her a tremendous asset to our cross country program," said Dr. Jim Tussey, Director of Athletics at Midway College.
 
A graduate of the University of Kentucky, Morgan holds a degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science. During her time at UK, she was a member of the school's cross country and track teams. Her prowess as a runner made her a two-time NCAA cross country qualifier and garnered All-SEC and All-Region honors.
 
Since her graduation in 2006, Morgan has worked to develop elite post-collegiate athletes while pursuing her own professional running career. To date, she has qualified for Olympic Trials in 2008, 2012 and 2016, been selected to Team USA three times, and finished in the top 10 in multiple National USA Championships (track and road races).
 
A native of Columbus, Ohio, Morgan and her husband, Thomas, live in Lexington with their twins, Drake and Ethan.
