Tell us about how the decision ended up as Utah State...
I chose to go to Utah State because I really liked the girls on the team, and I just kind of felt a click when I got on campus, plus the town seems really nice. It's not super big but it's bigger than Durango.
Utah State has to be something of a rival of Weber State, where your brother is running. Is this kind of like setting up a family rivalry or ... ?
I don't think there is going to be a huge rivalry, I think we might tease each other about our different schools if we see each other at a race.
What do you plan to study at Utah State?
I want to go into Pre-med.
You have run a lot of different events over your high school career, both relays and individual events. Pick a favorite event for us and tell us a little bit about why it is your favorite.
I think my favorite event is the 4 x 400 because it's a fast event, it's also the last race which makes it more intense and more fun.
Have the coaches at USU given you an indication of what event they are anticipating will be your main collegiate event?
The coaches at USU haven't really given me any indication about what I will be running.
Are there any personal goals on the table for this spring you're willing to tell us about?
One goal I have for the spring is to go under five minutes in the mile.
