When the Pan Am Junior Championships begin in Edmonton, Alberta, at the end of this month, you will recognize several of the names.

Representing the USA will be five athletes with Colorado high school ties.

Cerake Geberkidane, a graduate of Denver East High School will be taking on the 5000 meters.

Dior Hall, the world junior record holder in the 100 meter hurdles will get what could figure as her final opportunity to push that record a little further out of reach. Hall ran for George Washington during her high school career.

Colorado will be represented by two in the women's throws. Josie Natrasevschi, a graduate of Fort Collins High School, will be slinging the discus. Haley Showalter, newly graduated from Valor Christian and fresh of a PR throw, will be competing in the hammer throw.

And, Bailey Roth, no stranger to international-level competition, will be competing in the 3000 meter steeplechase.

The Pan Am Junior Championships run from July 31 through August 2. Check back here for results as they become available.
