Day Eight Question:

What team has scored the most short sprint points (100/200 meters and both genders, combined) at state meets from 2011 forward?

Day Seven Answer(s):

1. The standard width of a lane on an outdoor track is 42 inches for high school. It is six inches wider for international competition.

2. The minimum depth of the high jump approach, which is to be of a single unvarying surface with not more than 1% declination, is 50 feet.

3. The high jump bar is to be at least 12 feet wide.

4. The minimum width between pins supporting the pole vault bar is to be 13 feet, 8 inches.

5. The pins that support the pole vault bar are to be not more than 3 inches long.

6. The diameter of the discus ring is to be 8 feet, 2.5 inches.

7. The diameter of the shot put ring is to be 7 feet.

8. The height of the toe board for the shot put is to be 4 inches.

9. A regulation baton is not more than 30 cm (just less than 12 inches) in length.
