Colorado Closes out Weekend at NBNO

Of this we can be certain: Colorado saved its best for last at NBNO 2016.

Madison Mooney was an early competitor on the final day of the meet, and the Horizon junior-to-be made the most of her opportunity, winning the Emerging Elite 800 in 2:10.18. Older sister Megan also had a result to remember, running 4:46.59 for fifth in the Championship Mile.

And there was more good news yet to roll in...

Maya Evans leaped to second in the long jump, with a mark of 20-3.5 (-0.3). Julia Hall's 54.32 earned 10th in the 400. Emma Dern tossed the shot 36-6.25 for 38th in the EE shot put. Kylie Davis clocked in at 1:04.40 for 13th in the EE 400 hurdles.

Kent Harris had a 22.40 the didn't get him out of prelims in the Championship 200. Adam Dawson went to 162-10 for 18th in the Championship discus. The best boys finishes of the day came in the 800 where David Moenning ran to ninth in 1:51.75 and Thomas Staines to 19th in 1:54.48.
