Still to Come for Cross Country Season...

If you were thinking we're just about out of stuff to publish for the cross country season, it would be prudent to revisit that thought.

Balloting from our coaches panel on all-state cross country teams ends tomorrow (Wednesday) evening. There's a good shot the first of ten different all-state teams (two for each classification, plus an overall team for both genders) will publish on Wednesday night. Thereafter, they'll be published at the rate of one or two per day.

There is still some cross country to be covered this fall. Most notably, there is Nike Cross Southwest, Nike Cross Nationals, Foot Locker Midwest, and Foot Locker Nationals. But, there are a few other meets as well. One of those other meets we'll be covering in a big way is the annual Tomahawk 2 Mile on November 12.

Over the next few days, we'll take a more detailed look at next year's cross country races, or at least such as we can surmise from this year's results.

It's getting to be just about time to start publishing the list of signing commitments out of Colorado. I have word of a few already, and the floodgates are just about to open. Let's see, word has already slipped out about Lauren Gregory to Arkansas, Brie Oakley to Cal, and Tanner Norman to Iowa State. That's a good start on Colorado's top runners, but there's much more to come on that front.

That also means signing features will be resuming this month.

So, all that--and more--beckons you to keep coming back.

And, then...  indoor season starts December 8. Be there.
