Winter, Go Home

The trees dance in the wind and tiny drips of water that hint of becoming white snowflakes threaten to make a big impact on the weekend once again.

I guess it's only fair - it was a mild winter. But now we're faced with yet another storm rolling across Colorado, prompting every athlete to over-pack with a dry clothes for after the race.

Currently it looks like the greater Denver area will be blanketed with rain through Friday afternoon and into the night, then possibly turn to those tiny white snowflakes that are only cute when it doesn't alter your schedule sometime in the morning.

Hopefully winter will get it all out of its system before state...

Among the meets with a change of plans:

Fountain-Fort Carson Invitational has moved into a one day meet, starting Saturday.
Randall Hess Invitational has been put on a delayed start.
Kiowa Klassic has been cancelled
Thornton Invite has been cancelled
Platte Valley Bronco Stampede has been postponed to Monday.

We'll keep this page updated with any more - likely - changes coming to the weekend's schedule of meets.
