Jalen Lyon picked up two wins, including a state-leading mark in the 200.
Highlighting in the sprints was Jalen Lyon, who ran away with victories in the 200 and the 400. Lyon's ran a state-leading 21.28 in the 200, and 47.91 in the 400, which is the third fastest time in all-classifications, behind himself.
Dakota Ridge made it a sweep in the 800 and 1,600, with sophomore Connor Ohlson winning the 800 down to the wire in 1:56.42, while teammate Austin Vancil ran from the front to claim the 1,600 in 4:21.01.
The 3,200 was all Easton Allred, who ran a meet record of 9:16.86. The mark is the second-fastest time in all-classifications, and No. 1 in 5A, just ahead of Michael Mooney's 9:20. If the Colorado distance scene wasn't already exciting enough, now Allred has thrown his name into the hat.
A highlight in the hurdles came from Wyatt Wieland, who ran 38.68 in the prelims. Wieland's time is No. 3 in all-classifications, and No. 1 in 4A. Of note, however, is that Wieland did not run the final.
In the field events Jequan Hogan collected a pair of victories. Hogan won the high jump in 6-6, and the triple jump in 49-03.5. He also finished second in the long jump behind Alex Hise, who took the event with a mark of 22-8.50.
