Week Six Coaches Poll: Girls

The story of the week was No. 1s proving their ranking, as Mountain Vista, Niwot, Peak to Peak, and Lyons all remained on top of their classifications. Behind them, however, was a game of musical chairs this week.

Six weeks into the season and there doesn't appear to be any new squad that can break into the top three. Mountain Vista, Cherokee Trail, and Cherry Creek were a unanimous 1-2-3.

We did see some minimal shifting behind them, however.

Fairview and Fossil Ridge were this week's winners. Fairview inched one spot up, while Fossil Ridge made the biggest gain, moving up two spots following their performance at Pat Patten.

Clawing their way back into the rankings this week was Rock Canyon, who come in No. 10.

Battle Mountain made their case to reclaim a No. 1 ranking Friday with a third place finish at Dave Sanders, but a day later Niwot swept the top five spots at Pat Patten. Niwot's dominance in Boulder kept them No. 1 this week, though Battle Mountain is hot on their heels.

Behind them, Palmer Ridge and Air Academy played musical chairs and swapped out this week, while we saw very little movement beyond that.

New to the rankings this week is Golden, who came in No. 10.

3A

The top three in 3A remain very firmly in their spots. Peak to Peak is a clear No. 1, while The Classical Academy and D'Evelyn held on to their No.2 and No. 3 spots this week.

Elizabeth surged into the top four this week, but Frontier Academy was just a few votes shy.

New to the rankings this week is Holy Family, who landed in the No. 9 spot.

2A

We'll go with a new tagline this week...

The Lions roar remains unrivaled. Lyons was a unanimous No. 1, as they have been nearly all season. The story of September has been Buena Vista, who have emerged in the latter part of the month to hold the No. 2 spot quite firmly.

The story this week is Paonia, who jumped three spots in to the No. 3 spot.

We saw two new squads emerge into the rankings this week: St. Mary's and Clear Creek.
