Lyons vs Nederland
The No. 1 team in the state is set to battle the No. 2 team in the state. And to take it a step further - the No. 2 team in the state is the defending state champion, Nederland.
Lyons has been on top of the state all season, though Nederland has made a late charge in recent weeks. Lyons has the upper-hand, with the course being at home, though Nederland is just down the road, literally.
On paper Lyons and Nederland are nearly identical. The battle for the title will likely come down to the third runner.
And then there's the dark horse, Dawson, the No. 4 team in the state. Lucca Fulkerson is the fastest runner in the league, and should be able to give her squad the coveted one point, which will be vital to the team score.
