Dakota Ridge Jumps To No. 4 In Final MileSplit 50 Rankings

Dakota Ridge moved to No. 4 in the final MileSplit 50 Team Rankings.

The Big (Big) dance is just days away, and Colorado squads saw a lot of movement in the final MileSplit 50 team rankings heading into Saturday's NXN.

Leading the way for Colorado undoubtedly is Dakota Ridge (Hogback XC), who jumped four spots to No. 4 following their win at NXR-Southwest.

And they're not alone in the top 10.

Mountain Vista's third-place finish at NXR launched them previously unranked squad to No. 9.

(In the voice of that Oak Island narrator)Can Colorado pump two boy's squads into the top 10?

Individually the sheet looks just as impressive.

Valor Christian's Cole Sprout heads to Portland with a bullseye on his back as the No. 1 runner in the country, and he's joined in the Top 10 by Mountain Vista's Easton Allred, who is ranked No. 3. Just outside the final rankings are the Dakota Ridge duo of Austin Vancil and Connor Ohlson

Like the team race with a potential for two Colorado squads to finish in the Top 10: (Summoning the voice of that Oak Island narrator again) Can Colorado go 1-2 in the individual race?

On the girl's side Mountain Vista heads to Saturday's Big (Big) Dance sitting in the No. 5 spot, while Battle Mountain and Niwot are No. 16 and No. 17.

With five squads headed to Portland, with three ranked in the Top 10, and two boys ranked in the top 3, it's looking pretty sunny in Colorado...
