Top 1,000 Returning Cross Country Boys By Time

Cole Sprout leads a star-studded state with his 14:32.

I'll do my best not to sound a repeating record, but Colorado is set for an insanely big 2019 season...

Cole Sprout, Cruz Culpepper, Connor Ohlson, and Dylan Schubert all have national-caliber experience, and I highly doubt they'll be the only ones with it by the end of 2019. 

Colorado has three returners who have already cracked the magical 15 minute barrier, which is something most collegians aspire to. 

Obviously, The Cole Sprout tops this list with his 14:32.9. He returns as not only the fastest Coloradan, but the fastest in the country. 

And he's not alone.

Culpepper's 14:43 from Desert Twilight hinted at his potential, and of course he had that 4:04 mile last month that only adds to the giddiness of what we'll see this fall. 

Add Ohlson and his 14:51 and you've potentially got three of the Top 10 runners in the country. 

And not far back is 4A state 3,200 champ Schubert, who undoubtedly wants to join the Sub 15 club this season. His 15:07 ranks him No. 4 on this list, which, let's be honest, is simply stacked. 

By comparison only one other state has more Sub 15 minute returners - and that's Texas.

I'm sure I'll be repeating myself on this next line a few times in coming months, but what we're about to see this fall is insanely uncommon. Having this many high-caliber runners in the same state is very, very unique. 

Additionally, Colorado has quite a few more knocking on the door, and that's Mason Norman, who ran the second fastest time of the day at State behind Sprout, Erik Le Roux, who was the fastest freshmen in the country last year, and Will Daley, Jacob White, Yasin Sado, and Sean Graff - who all have broke 15:25 last year. 

All in all, Colorado had 39 (returning) runners break 16 minutes last year.
