Dashing Performances At D'Evelyn

The boy's side of the Division 1 competition replicated the girl's - dominating wins across the board.

Chatfield's Cole Nash wasted little time cracking 16 minutes this season. After cruising through the opening mile the senior put his stamp on the race and stretched out the field.

Nash ran away with the day's lone sub-16 clocking, capturing a 15:58 victory. Behind him Dominic Danborn was the first Arvada West runner across the line, finishing second in 16:13. Conifer's Zack Gacnik had a huge race of his own, running a big personal best of 16:17.

Like Nash's runaway win in the individual race, Arvada West did the same in the team race.

Behind Danborn, Gabe Schultz, and David Rhoades tallied Top-10 finishes, running 16:37 and 16:41 to finish sixth and seventh, while Max Link and Logan Deison locked up the scoring, finishing in 11th and 12th.

Arvada West scored 39 points to take the team race over Longmont, who scored 69 points. SkyView tallied a great day of their own, finishing third among the big schools with 76 points.
