Week 4 Coaches Poll: Big Surges Highlight 3A & 2A

The storyline coming out this past week was that of some squads resting, and others making gains. The majority of 5A and 4A rankings stalled quite a bit, while 3A and 2A had some major movers.

Of those movers, one of the big highlights of the week came from the Basalt girl's squad, who made a massive leap in the 3A rankings...

5A

At First Glance: A very silent week in 5A...

Mountain Vista continued it's reign over 5A, and behind them there was very little movement. It appears that most squads took a week off after the chaos of Liberty Bell and Joe Vigil, and with Dave Sanders and St. Vrain coming this weekend, it makes sense.

Legacy climbed into the boy's poll this week, while Regis Jesuit climbed into the girl's poll.

At First Glance: Reread that first line written about 5A...

Cheyenne Mountain remained on top of the boy's poll for the fourth consecutive week, while Niwot and Air Academy swapped out positions.

On the girl's side of the poll Niwot continued its hold over the polls, while nearly everyone stalled behind them. This week welcomed Golden back into the polls, as they returned after one week out.

BOYS | GIRLS

At First Glance: Frontier Academy surging hard!

The University boys held out their varsity this past week and remained No. 1. Behind them was where we saw some big time movement coming from Frontier Academy, who made a big leap to the No. 2 spot this week.

On the girl's side of the poll The Classical Academy was a firm No.1, and D'Evelyn a strong No.2, though behind them we've got a hotly contested race brewing! Basalt made a big jump in this week's poll after going toe to toe with the big schools at at the Eagle Valley XC Invite.

2A

BOYS | GIRLS

At First Glance: Lyons remains on top of both podiums this week as unanimous No. 1s, but we've got some movement behind them on the boy's side...

The Heritage Christian boys and girls squads both made gains this week, inching upwards in the polls.
