A Mountain Vista Sweep At The Pat Patten Invite

Kinsey Hall stormed to a third-place finis late in the race.

Behind O'Sullivan and Fitzsimmons was about a half a minute worth of daylight.

Through the early miles it appeared that a possible 15-point victory was possible for Mountain Vista, though they'd have challengers in obtaining this perfection of cross country scoring in the final mile.

Kinsey Hall clearly knew this course by the inches, because she paced her way just right. The Fairview senior surged hard and late for a third place finish in 18:51, while Monarch's Anna Wexler was just 12 seconds back in 19:03.

And then came that dominating Green Machine.

Mountain Vista poured their entire top five into the top eight, with Annie Romalia and Jessica Barich finishing fifth and sixth, while Shayda Zarrin closing out their scoring with an eighth place finish.

Mountain Vista tallied just 22 points for a dominating team victory. Additionally, they averaged 18:50 and had a 1-5 split of 52 seconds.

Behind them Fairview took an impressive runner-up finish, tallying 57 points, while Monarch finished third with 94.

Among the smaller schools, Lyons looked insanely strong, as they went head to head with the big schools and still finished eighth - scoring five runners. Of additional note, freshman Jamieson Legh led the squad with a 19:54 finish, just one second ahead of teammate Quin Gregg, while they raced without defending state champ Katie Fankhouser
