Week Six Coaches Poll: We've Got New No. 1s!

The big news this week is that we've got three new No. 1s, which hasn't happened in quite a while... The Cherry Creek girls overtook Mountain Vista in the 5A poll, while the Niwot boys have taken over the 4A poll, and Frontier Academy is the new No. 1 in the boy's 3A poll.

At First Glance: The Cherry Creek girls and Dakota Ridge boys were the big winners this week.

For the first time in a long time the Mountain Vista girls are not leading the rankings. Despite a dominating win at Pat Patten and the return of Jenna Fitzsimmons, Mountain Vista polled just a few points behind Cherry Creek, who likewise had a big weekend with Riley Stewart winning the Gold race at Roy Griak and taking the team title.

On the boy's side of the poll Mountain Vista remained on top, though Dakota Ridge swapped spaced with Fort Collins after that cloth-thin runner-up to Vista Nation at Pat Patten.

At First Glance: The Return of Niwot

The Niwot boys definitely made a statement this past weekend at Desert Twilight... Their runner-up finish at Desert Twilight - ahead of 5A No. 3 Fort Collins and 4A No. 2 Air Academy - vaulted them to the top of the polls this week, primarily because they achieved the feat without Cruz Culpepper

On the girl's side of the poll Niwot remained on top, though Air Academy made some big gains, landing in the No. 2 spot this week.

At First Glance: Frontier Academy made the jump!

We've got a new No. 1 on the boy's side of the poll - Frontier Academy. Their third place finish at Roy Griak vaulted them over The Classical Academy and University this week. In terms of poll numbers, the race for that second spot was insanely tight this week, with Liberty Common making a big, big jump into the rankings.

The Classical Academy girl's squad was a firm No.1 with their dominating win at the Polson Ranch Invite, though there was quite a big of shuffling behind them. In a tight team battle for that No. 2 spot, Faith Christian emerged this week.

At First Glance: Lyons dominates...

Lyons continued their reign over the both polls this week in dominating fashion.

On the boy's side of the poll Heritage Christian and Rocky Ford made a swap, while the girl's poll remained on lock down.
