Arria Minor entered the 2019 season with one goal in mind: the 100 state record.
The Denver East senior already owned state records in the 200 and 400, but to truly hold the title as Colorado's All-Time Sprint Queen, she'd need to capture that elusive 100 record.
The 11.31 record was one of four state records set over 30 years ago (by Caryl Smith).
As fate would have it, Minor would have her storybook ending by running 11.31 to tie the record in the final race of her high school career at the 2019 state track and field championships.
Call it a swan song, or her final farewell, but Minor capped her incredible high school career in style.
Adding to Minor's record run was the fact that it was her fourth consecutive 100 state title, and she won the 200 as well - her fourth.
It was a perfect ending for the most dominating sprinter in Colorado history.
With the performance, Minor's name now appears on the 100, 200, and 400 all-classification state records - that's more than anyone else.
Additionally, her 11.31 was a US No. 5, and her 23.10 200 was a US No. 3.
Minor's dramatic finish of capturing a previously elusive state record at the state meet in the final 100 of her high school career lands her as the No. 5 Story of 2019.

Let's start with Minor's major state record...
The stage was set for a great storybook ending: Arria Minor running a state record in the final 100 race of her Colorado high school career.
And that's exactly what happened.
Minor tied Caryl Smith's 32 year-old state record of 11.31 in the 100 finals Saturday morning. The performance checked off the final box within the sprint events, giving the Denver East senior every state record from the 100 up to the 400.
Her name now appears on the record list three times - which is more than anyone else.
Minor's 11.31 is also currently No. 3 in the country, and it gave her her fourth consecutive state title in the event. And she wasn't done - she doubled back to add state title No. 10 (and her fourth in the event) in the 200, winning in 23.10.
