The Girl's High Jump
Riley Masten has been busy leaping to new heights the past month.
The Rock Canyon senior and future Nebraska Cornhusker went 5-8 for a US No.4 two weeks ago. The jump tied her outdoor best, meaning that she's ahead of where she was this time a year ago.
After scanning the entry list, she'll have plenty of competition pushing her to new(er) heights.
Speaking of someone who's made some serious gains: Shayla Padilla.
The Pueblo West junior went 5-4.5 outdoors two years ago, and 5-2 last year, but in her one high jump competition of 2020 she's already (say it with me here) leapt to new heights.
Padilla went 5-7 three weeks ago in this very field house.
