Colorado Virtual Meets for the Decade Spanning 2010 through 2019
Shame on you if you've forgotten about Jennifer Celis. I promise you Tabor Scholl hasn't.
I have to admit it. This one carried a high interest value for me. Who would win?
On the one hand, you have Lyons, a team that has been powerful all decade long. Not a lot of state championships during the decade, but always a contender. Lots of top athletes, too.
On the other hand, you have Highland. The Huskies are a lot like Lyons, actually, with several high-end athletes, but not the state championships to show for it.
And then you have the Delta County duo of Hotckiss and Paonia. Top athletes and, at least in Paonia's case, a bundle of team state championships.
So, who comes out ahead in the end?
The rules of the game are that only marks from inside Colorado and during the CHSAA-sanctioned season count. Marks in the 100, 200, 100H, LJ, and TJ must be wind legal (though I did not show wind readings in the results--trust me, they're wind legal).
Oh, and please remember, I took the teams that are 2A in the current cycle as the teams to be used in this virtual meet. That means some of the teams you see below weren't 2A for the entire decade, but you have to figure out how you're going to draw lines somehow.
