Sanaa Hebron Enjoys A Big Weekend In VA

Sanaa Hebron has been busy to open up this indoor season and that continued over the weekend at the Virginia Beach Club Opener down south. The Neshaminy junior turned in a pair of strong performances, winning the 400 meters and taking second in the 200 meters.

Hebron went 55.92 to win the 400, not far off her season best of 55.55, which she ran at the Armory on Nov. 22. Hebron won the race to the rail and then held off a good challenge from a pair of girls to capture the victory. She sits at PA No. 2 and US No. 2 in the 400, trailing only Taliyah Booker of Delaware Valley, who ran 55.45 at the Armory to beat Hebron a few weeks ago.

In the 200 meters, Hebron won her heat from lane 5 to run a time of 24.97, which matches her season best and own PA No. 1 time. Hebron made up good ground on turn three to propel her to the heat win and a quick time.

Hebron also competed in the 60 meter dash and 60 meter hurdles. She clocked the fastest time in the state -- a 9.96 -- for 20th in the prelims.
