Patience Pays Off At The Dave Sanders Invitational


Friday's largest margin of victory went to Elena Torres in the girl's D1 race.

The Loveland sophomore torched the field, running 18:36 - a 42-second victory. The win marks her fifth of the season. 

George Washington's Anne Reilly took the runner-up spot, running 19:18, which was just ahead of the Chatfield duo of Emerson Mullen and Hannah Anderson, who both ran 19:23. 

Rocky Mountain's Ella Wolf finished three-seconds back in 19:26 to start scoring for the Lobos. 

Rocky Mountain's Camille Long-Shore and Lindsey Kaines also crashed the top-10, finishing seventh and ninth, which elevated them to the team title with 89 points. 

Chatfield edged out Heritage for the runner-up spot, tallying 101 point to Heritage's 103.
