Thundering To Victory At The D'Evelyn Dash

With a mile to go Amy O'Connell was gone.

The Mullen senior held a nearly half-a minute lead over Chatfield's Hannah Anderson, but she wasn't done.

O'Connell kept the foot on the gas and stretched her lead even more over the final mile, which included a fairly challenging hill.

The Mullen senior telescoped away with a dominating performance that clearly put her summer work in the spotlight.

O'Connell - AKA "MiMi" - cruised across the finish line clear of the field in 19:13, which would be just under a minute victory.

Anderson held off a late kick from Golden's Lily Mourer to finish second in 20:08, while Mourer was just a few strides back in 20:16.

Chatfield wrapped up the team race by putting their top-five inside the top-10 to tally 50 points. Mullen was second with 96, while Golden was third with 114.
