Kicking For Keeps At The Pat Patten Invitational

Similar to the boys race, the girls 5k switched back and forth for most of the race - it was unpredictable with some of the best runners in the state competing for the win.

Three sophomores took over the field. Peyton Adams dominated, taking the win in 18:23.7. She led Mountain Vista to a first place finish.

Adams is only a sophomore and has already had an incredible season.

She's currently Colorado No. 16 with her 17:47.70 from the Liberty Bell Cross Country Invitational last month. She also finished runner up at the  Dave Sanders Invitational last weekend.

Tatum Berg was second in 18:56.3. She's close behind Adams in the Colorado rankings, sitting No. 18. Rosie Mucharsky took third in 19:02.2 - she is Colorado No. 15.

Mucharsky, Adams, and Berg are all very high up in the Colorado Sophomore rankings as well, with Mucharsky No. 5, Adams No. 6, and Berg No. 7.

Fourth was Niwot freshman Avalon Beltran in 19:12.9. This was a solid PR for her as well as her highest finish of the season.

Keira Gamily took fifth in 19:14.7, followed by Sierra Wall, who was sixth, and Kiki Vaughn who finished seventh.

Mountain Vista dominated, taking the win with 35 points. Fossil Ridge finished runner up, followed by Fairview in third.
